A variety of volunteer committees were established to assist the TLC in fulfilling its mission. Committees meet and coordinate independently, but report to the TLC Executive Board as needed.
Education Committee
Advises TLC program development and promotions of nature and ecology education focused on TLC preserves and the Thumb.
Stewardship Committee
Advises the TLC on stewardship activities on preserves, conservation easements, and other lands.
Land Protection Committee
Advises the TLC on land protection, land acquisition, conservation easements, natural area registry, protection assistance, and other efforts.
Fundraising Committee
Advises the TLC on fundraising efforts, donations, grants, membership, and product sales.
Promotions Committee
Advises the TLC on promotional events and programs.
Outreach Committee
Advises the TLC on outreach efforts to increase membership, encourage participation by members, encourage participation of youth, seniors, and under-served community members.
